boasted stores, churches and
a new school.
World famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, was born here in
1867. He returned here in 1915 to build the unique Mayan-influenced A.D. German Warehouse.
Other points of historical
interest include a 1909 railroad depot that has been renovated as our
visitor center. You can also check out the family genealogy center at
the Brewer Library's Richland County history room or visit the Flag
Park, a patriotic landmark in Wisconsin's designated Purple Heart
City.
There's also the first
municipal auditorium built
in the state, the Masonic building, the
Richland County Bank building and numerous downtown historic
preservations and lovingly restored
local homes.
